CREDIT UNION PRINCIPLES & MEMBERSHIP

The U.W.I. (Cave Hill) Co-operative Credit Union Ltd. operates in accordance with the Principles first agreed in 1937 by the International Cooperative Alliance reviewed in 1966 and finally in 1995.

The full statement reads:

Membership in the UWI credit union is open to any person who is a resident or in occupation of land within the society's area of operations: And is:-

• an employee of the University; or

• a past employee of the University; or

• a spouse or relative of an employee or past employee of the University;

• a graduate or student of the University, a spouse or relative of a graduate or student of the University;

• an employee of a body or organization affiliated to the University; or

• such other person whose application for membership may be approved by the Board of Directors.
